Kenn is manager and principal owner of KN Surveying, LLC and has been involved in land surveying for over forty years. He has spent ten years in the private sector working for various companies performing land surveying. The next thirty years had been dedicated to working in the public sector for both State and County agencies. In 2006, he became the supervisor for the Sewer and Drainage Section of the Land Division of the C&C of Honolulu. He started KN Surveying in 2000 as a side business and became KN Surveying, LLC in 2005. Upon retirement in 2017, Kenn has expanded KN Surveying, LLC to a full time, full-service surveying company. He has also served on the Hawaii Land Surveyors Association as a director, treasurer and president.

Dan Akita

Dan has been involved in Land Surveying for over 20 years. He has been licensed in the State of Hawaii since 2007 and holds a Hawaii Land Court Surveyor certificate as well. Dan has a broad range of experience in field data collection using both conventional and Global Positioning Systems. He has worked on various projects throughout the islands which included the production of aerial mapping and orthophoto overlays. These projects included incorporating boundary resolution, topographic surveying, as well as construction staking.

Ross a graduate of Waipahu High School continued his education at Leeward Community College where he obtained his Associates degree in Drafting Technology. He has been working in the land surveying field for over 30 years for multiple private companies and the City and County of Honolulu. Ross started his surveying career as a rodman, then as a draftsman and project surveyor. He started drafting by hand and then with a computer with the use of AutoCAD, Terramodel and Carlson software. Ross has been a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor since 2002 and also has his Land Court of the State of Hawaii certificate to perform work within the Land Court system in the State of Hawaii. He is a member of the Hawaii Land Surveyors Association and the National Society of Professional Surveyors.

Jordan Delos Santos

Project Surveyor

Jordan began his career as a Rodman and steadily advanced to the position of Party Chief. After refining his skills in the field, Jordan transitioned into office-based work, initially serving as a draftsman, where he developed strong proficiency in AutoCAD. His combined field experience and technical knowledge ultimately led to his current role as a Project Surveyor.
In this role, Jordan oversees a diverse portfolio of projects across civil, federal, state, county, and private sectors. His responsibilities include client communication, appointment scheduling, and full project management from initiation to completion.
He is a member of the Hawaii Land Surveyors Association and holds several certifications, including OSHA 30-hour training, forklift operation (stand-up and sit-down), and CPR.

Karl has 40-plus years of experience with various AEC disciplines and projects. He has worked for 20 years with civil and structural design firms, being involved with production, design and management of various projects in addition to 20-plus years in land surveying with other companies prior to employment at KN Surveying, LLC. His experience with the various disciplines has provided Karl an insight to the clients’ surveying needs and requirements.

Ross has been involved in land surveying for the last 20 years. He has a broad experience on field data collection, maps production, and management of various types of survey serving multiple federal, state agencies, private sector including land developers, property owners, and engineering consultants. He is licensed in the State of Hawaii since 2003 and holds a Hawaii Land Court Surveyor certificate since 2004.
Experience with the different facets of land surveying has provided Ross an insight to the clients’ surveying needs and requirements necessary to the success and timely completion of projects.

Johnson Delos Santos

Project Surveyor

As a Party Chief, Johnson led field crews on a range of large-scale projects, including assignments across neighboring islands. He was also instrumental in onboarding and training new team members, contributing to the growth and development of the field staff. After gaining substantial field experience, Johnson transitioned into office work, beginning as a draftsman and developing strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
Currently serving as a Project Surveyor, Johnson manages a wide array of projects across civil, federal, state, county, and private sectors. He is a member of the Hawaii Land Surveyors Association and holds certifications in OSHA 30-hour training and CPR.

Samuel Leodones

Project Surveyor

Sam began his surveying career in Guam in 2000 as a Rodman and quickly advanced into leadership roles, becoming a Party Chief and later a Project Manager. With more than 25 years of experience in both field operations and CAD drafting, he has developed extensive expertise in survey mapping and project coordination.
Sam has specialized in preparing a wide variety of survey maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D. His combination of technical knowledge and hands-on field experience allows him to effectively support projects from data collection through final map production.
Sam is also a proud member of the Hawaii Land Surveyors AssAssociationA(HLSA). (HLSA).
Lorin Shiira, KN Surveying

Lorin Shiira

CAD Operator

Lorin has years of extensive experience in civil design/drafting and land surveying which includes 15 years of civil and design drafting. Duties as a civil designer included drafting plans and profiles, site plans cross sections, horizontal and vertical alignment layout calculations, site grading and civil details. In his 25+years in land surveying included boundary research, utility research, topographic survey mapping, subdivision calculation and mapping, boundary study and staking, cadastral mapping and construction calculation and staking.
